The Timberwolves are not letting go of its All-Star Kevin Love; at least not without getting someone great in return.

In a report by ESPN, Glen Taylor, owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves, said that he strongly wanted to keep Kevin Love. He shared in an interview that he did not like to trade the forward.

A number of teams, particularly the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers have been eyeing the forward as he enters free agency after the 2014-2015 season. The Warriors have been making very good proposals, but excluded Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry in any possible deal. Cleveland, on the other hand, retaliated by offering as much as Andrew Wiggins, their No. 1 draft pick in 2014, and taking the risk just to have Love and LeBron James play together. Love previously shared that he also wanted to play with James and that he might stay long in Cleveland if the superstar will remain with the Cavs.

Taylor, however, said on NBA TV that he primarily wanted to have Love to stay with the Wolves. The only exception would be if they got something back of equal or higher value. Taylor said, "My preference is that Kevin will come to [training] camp - and I'm sure he will - and play with the team." He added, "We are going to look at everything that makes sense that would make our team better. But we are not going to move a superb player like [Love] without getting equal or more value back."

According to Bleacher Report, acquiring a scoring machine like Love will require sacrifices for any team involved. The Golden State Warriors will have to soften up to exchange Klay Thompson while the Cavaliers have to let go of its promising rookie Wiggins. Otherwise, having Love transfer to either team in exchange for two or more players and future draft picks will only cause a significant shift in the balance of power in the NBA. Having LeBron, Love, Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins in one team might even be deadlier than the former Big Three that ex-champions Miami Heat created.

Kevin Love mainly wants to be in the playoffs. Throughout his career with the Timberwolves, his team has not made the cut to join the playoffs. Love is keen on joining the postseason games and ultimately winning a ring or more. Taylor said, "I say back to Kevin, 'Well, that's all I want, too.'"
