Will America be ready for Sarah Palin on daytime television? The outspoken political figure, and constant "Saturday Night Live" parody subject, has recently opened up to the Hollywood Reporter about potentially joining the famed daytime discussion panel show, "The View," now that the show has lost almost all of its hosts for various reasons.

Starpulse reported that Walters herself has retired from the show as host, while Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepard have also left. It has been rumored that infamous White House intern, Monica Lewinsky, is being wooed to fill one of the three vacated chairs. Palin somewhat had thrown in her name as a potential candidate for the job, as she has hinted that she is interested to have a political show, following her failed 2008 White House bid for vice presidency.

She told THR, "Maybe. But the politics would have to be interspersed with a whole lot of fun and real life and inspiration showcasing American work ethic, because those topics are all pretty much the antithesis of today's politics, which I find incorrigibly disastrous! It'd be so much fun to shake it up taking on issues that make audiences objectively consider all sides, and I'd do it with my own real-life groundedness, candor and commonsense that I'm known for. Media needs that today, versus the condescension that oozes from TV and radio. I hear everyone recently got canned from The View, maybe a show like that needs a punch of reality and a voice of reason from America's heartland to knock some humble sense into their scripts. You know, someone willing to go rogue. "

"The View" has not been shy to discuss political views, as it has been Walters' long-time dream to get women involved and lend their voice in hardcore issues. Previously, Starpulse said Walters has already expressed that she was looking for someone who can fill in the void left by Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who has since been providing a conservative viewpoint on the show until she left to join FOX News.

On the other hand, there is no doubt that Palin could easily secure a chair as "The View" host, and Sportman Channel, who has been producing Palin's reality-like show, "Amazing America with Sarah Palin," has acknowledged the former Alaska governor's star power.

Sportsman Channel Executive Vice President of Programming and Production, Marc Fein, told THR, "Sportsman Channel has experienced tremendous growth this year and Sarah Palin's involvement has proved to be a tremendous boon for our network and programming initiatives."

In the meantime, Americans will expect a whole lot of Palin even if Walters decide not to hire Palin at this point.

Sportman just renewed Palin's show for 12 more episodes for a second season. "Amazing America with Sarah Palin" is expected to debut in early 2015 for its second season.
