Avid readers of Suzanne Collins' dystopian series titled "Mockingjay," as well as fans of the movie franchise, were surprised when the producers of the movie decided to split the book into two film treatments. However, veteran actor Stanley Tucci, who plays the charming and effervescent Hunger Games host Caesar Flickerman, told IGN that the move was necessary.

He said, "I think it does make sense to split it into two movies. You don't want to cram a lot of information into one. You'd either have one sort of very long movie or...We know those characters so well that we want to take the time to see their progression."

Come to think of it, there are only a few film adaptations that have managed to stay true to the books. Some production companies change or add twist to the original plot. On the other hand, producers of the "Lord of the Ring" trilogy and the "Harry Potter" series were able to successfully please fans of both the book and the films, and even the authors themselves.

The introduction of the latest "Mockingjay: Part 1" teaser and promotional posters somehow thawed doubts surrounding the two part movie. Although heroine Katniss Everdeen (played by Jennifer Lawrence) is nowhere in the latest marketing campaign of the film, book fans know that is vital to the story since the latest book will tackle Katniss's rebellion against the fictional Panem and President Snow.

In the video, Snow, played by the wonderful Donald Sutherland, appeared angelic and powerful altogether as he is dressed in all white, NOLA reported. In his address to the citizens of Panem, he said, "Today we celebrate the proud men and women who live and breathe their districts. Today we are one Panem."

The trailer was also released alongside a series of what appeared to be government propaganda posters featuring the "real District heroes" of Panem.

The Epoch Times said "Mockingjay: Part 1" will debut in theaters on November 21st. Meanwhile, here's a boilerplate on what to expect in the upcoming movie directed by Francis Lawrence.

"The worldwide phenomenon of 'The Hunger Games' continues to set the world on fire with 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1,' which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson's Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the US alone."
