The Barden Bellas will have a YouTube sensation and real-life a capella group as competition.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the five-person emsemble who won the third season of NBC's "The Sing-Off" will be in the upcoming sequel to the sleeper hit "Pitch Perfect." The group, who garnered international fame due to their wonderfully-arranged versions of discographies of Beyonce, Daft Punk and others, will be featured on "Pitch Perfect 2" as a rival group to the fictional Barden Bellas, which would no doubt be led by Anna Kendrick and the hilarious Rebel Wilson.

The group told EW that they spent just a day on set on Baton Rouge, Louisiana to film their part in the highly-anticipated movie. Members Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan, Kirstie Maldonado, and Kevin Olusola recalled the grueling parts of the shooting, which is a whirlwind 12-hour workday including full makeup and wardrobe treatment.

Hoying teases, "We're wearing some pretty interesting things. You can definitely tell it's the five of us, but what we're wearing and who we're portraying is definitely not Pentatonix."

Kendrick and Wilson will be joined by the rest of the original cast members, including Brittany Snow and Elizabeth Banks, the Examiner reported. The sequel will also feature newcomers Hailee Steinfeld and Maroon 5's Adam Levine. It is to note that Snow's appearance in the sequel was a surprise considering that at the end of the original movie, she had already graduated from college. On the other hand, it is most likely that Snow would play a big part in the movie.

EW said "Pitch Perfect 2" would be revolving around the remaining original Bellas as they return for another year at Barden University and will be ushering a new breed of crew members to help them retain their national champion title.

Pentatonix's casting in the sequel was perfect considering that the group has been charming followers and people who are delighted with their versions on YouTube. The band's inclusion in the film was credited to two mutual friends: a film publicist who had coordinated Pentatonix's performance at the original movie's premiere and Deke Sharon, who had arranged music on "The Sing-Off" and on both "Pitch Perfect" films. Fans were also a big help with the band's inclusion thanks to their tweets to producers, Olusola disclosed.

Fans can also be assured that the Pentatonix sound is present in the film. Hoying revealed that they were given an opportunity to arrange one song, which would also be featured in the movie. He said, "They gave us a song, and we arranged it and sent it back, expecting them to say, ‘You need to change this, this, and this.' But they came back and said, ‘Great, that's it!' That was really cool."
