Previously, there were reports alleging that a KFC employee asked a 3-year-old girl, whose face was scarred due to a pit bull attack, to leave the establishment, along with her family, as the marks on her face were "disturbing other customers,"  Time said.

"The bizarre story concerns three-year-old Victoria Wilcher, who was reportedly mauled by pitbulls belonging to her family, leaving heavy scarring on her face," the American publication noted. "Her family said last month that she was asked to leave a Jackson, Miss., KFC restaurant because her appearance disturbed other customers."

This allegation was said to be posted on a Facebook page named "Victoria's Victories" and have since been removed Tuesday. But not before sparking outraged reactions from social media users, which got Kentucky Fried Chicken apologizing to the family and pledging $30,000 for the little girl's medical bills.

However, the fastfood chain had recently announced that the allegations were false, after conducting two separate and different investigations.

"KFC spokesman Rick Maynard said Tuesday the company considers the matter closed after an internal investigation by the franchise restaurant in Jackson, Miss., and an independent probe," USA Today said. "KFC hired an outside investigator because it was concerned that the Jackson, Miss., restaurant's internal investigation couldn't verify the incident, Maynard said."

"Like the rest of America, the KFC family has been moved by the story of Victoria's injuries and recovery," Maynard said in a statement. "After the alleged incident was reported to us, two investigations took place, including one by an independent investigator."

"Neither revealed any evidence that the incident occurred and we consider the investigation closed. We are honoring our commitment to make a $30,000 donation to assist with Victoria's medical bills. We hope everyone keeps Victoria in their thoughts and prayers. She will certainly be in ours," he added.

"It is unfortunate that Victoria and her family are being vilified on what appears to be the result of an inconclusive investigation conducted by KFC and/or its agents that implies Victoria's story is a 'hoax,'" countered William Kellum of Jackson, the attorney representing Victoria's family.

"It is deeply disappointing that other parties have taken opportunity to attack Victoria through social and news media outlets. Victoria is an innocent child with very real physical and emotional scars. The focus of her family has always been, and will always be on Victoria and making her whole again," he said.

The owner of the KFC franchise concerned said that there has been no video surveillance clip found that supported the family's allegation. Hundreds of hours had been reportedly spent checking footage in connection to the said case.

Despite this, the girl's aunt, Teri Rials Bates, who also manages the Facebook page, promised that the whole affair is "not a hoax."

"I never thought any of this would blow up the way it has," a post of hers said. "I have personally watched this family go without to provide for Victoria. They have not and would not do anything to hurt Victoria in any way."
