The new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would be equipped with a 5.7-inch QHD display screen with Android 4.4.3, this is according to the latest leaks that have been making the rounds in the Internet, thewestsidestory.net reported.

Aside from the awesome screen specs and the operating system, the phablet is expected to be equipped with everything a user would need to dub the gadget as a personal computer away from home -- an octa-core Exynos 5433 chip, 3GB of RAM, a Touchwhiz interface, and stylus support. The phone is also said to be armed with two cameras, a 16MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. ValueWalk also cited other speculated specs of the smartphone, which include 4G LTE connectivity, wireless charging support, a fingerprint scanner, and microSD card storage.

The price of the Note 4 has yet to be announced, but it is most likely that Samsung will be keeping it in the price range of the Note 3. In the U.S., Note 3 retails at $632.99 on eBay, and that Note 4 is expected to hit shelves at around £550 or $800.

Senior Vice President Yoon Han-kil of Samsung's Product Strategy Team earlier confirmed that the company has revised the design plans ofor its Note 4, PC Advisor said. This is supposedly for a good reason too, considering that it had failed to create any buzz after its lackluster launch of Galaxy S5, thewestsidestory.net concluded. Note 4 is expected to compete with LG's equally formidable phablet, G3, which is also set to launch later this year.

Yoon stated, "Our ultimate goal is to make products that consumers really aspire to have. This is how we are trying to find a breakthrough in the stagnant premium market."

The South Korean company's latest phablet is expected to debut on the upcoming IFA or Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin in September. On the other hand, ValueWalk cited rumors that the phablet will be released much sooner and ahead of the consumer electronics show by at least a day.

Apart from the Note 4 phablet, Samsung is also expected to debut a series of smart home products as the company attempts to build and market a niche that they hope could be picked up by new generation households. Citing an unnamed Samsung executive partner, PC Advisor quoted the source as saying "Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 4 phablet, UHD OLED TVs, a Google Glass rival, and home appliances at the upcoming IFA. The Note 4 will have two versions - one with a curved OLED display for niche markets and the other a flat OLED display for mass marketing."
