The new game featuring the popular adventurer Lara Croft was revealed at E3 2014. "Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris" will be the sequel to "Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light", both spinoffs of the well-loved game "Tomb Raider".

"Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light" was introduced as a download-only version in 2010, writes the International Business Times. The game had co-op features that allowed two players to go through the various scenes and fight bosses together. It followed a twin-stick shooter type of gaming. "Guardian of Light" was successful and several gamers have been asking for a follow-up.

In a report by Mashable, "Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris" will provide more features than its predecessor, with the co-op gameplay allowing up to four players exploring through the temples and battling different enemies as a team. The game is also set in Egypt where she looks for the staff of Osiris, the Egyptian god. Her rival, archaeologist Carter Bell, is also looking for the same artifact. At the start of the game, Carter takes the staff but triggers a trap that locks all of them inside the temple. Horus and Isis, the two children of the Egyptian god, are awakened and will be part of the story. Set is the old enemy of Osiris who divided the latter into many pieces and took his power. Osiris' children will help in the quests you need to complete.

The four-player allowance also allows gamers to compete against each other and beat each other using their unique skills and game-acquired artifacts.

According to Playstation.Blog, four players will work together to accomplish the different challenges of "Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris". They have to solve puzzles as a team and contribute using the individual abilities and items of their respective characters. There are puzzle rooms, obstacles, monsters and cross chasms at various levels. Players can upgrade their skills and strengthen their characters by acquiring treasures and weapons.

Crystal Dynamics developed the game and revealed that it was an arcade and download-only title. As a result, the game was cartoony but similar to an action movie. The creative ideas of the makers were incorporated throughout the game, showcasing giant monsters and exciting scenarios.

The game will be available on platforms like PlayStation 3 and 4, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

At E3 2014, a new game also starring Croft was introduced called "E3: Rise of the Tomb Raider".
