The sixth season of "The Voice" has finally wrapped up and produced a winner -- a 38-year-old singer from Indianapolis, Josh Kaufman.

Josh, who is from Team Usher, scored the R&B singer a coaching victory with his win, "breaking a string of wins by coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton since the series began," USA Today noted.

Speaking about his win, Josh told host Carson Daly that he is "overwhelmed, surprised, happy, relieved."

Well, who wouldn't be?

Now that Josh has been thrust into the limelight with his victory, it's inevitable that he'll gain a bigger following - and a considerable amount of attention. With that, we've decided to cover some of the essential things by dishing out 5 things to know about the new winner of "The Voice."

He Joined "X-Factor" & "Star Search"

"The Voice" is not the first televised singing competition he joined. He tried out for "The X Factor" in the past, but did not get through. He also got into "Star Search" at age 16 in 1993, emerging victorious for 2 episodes before losing on the third, according to Yahoo! Music.

"I have seen it on YouTube. I don't know if that's a good thing, but it's there," Josh said. "I happened to have a guy hear me singing a song that I sang at my junior prom. A guy in the band helped with the talent searching for 'Star Search.'"

"It was a good experience," he added. "I think the biggest difference between then and now is I have new perspective on it. I think I felt at 16, I was like, 'Oh, I'm 16, other opportunities will come along.' I didn't really grasp ahold of it the way I probably should have. I didn't understand how big it was. Now, I do."

He's a Family Guy

The singer-songwriter has three kids, aged 2, 4, and 6, with his wife Jennifer, according to Heavy.

He's a SAT Tutor

Aside from playing local gigs, he also works as a SAT prep tutor to support his family.

He Has a Band

He's the frontman of a band called The New Etiquette, which has been "very supportive" of Josh's participation in the reality show, Chron revealed.

He Almost Didn't Audition

Josh told Access Hollywood Live that he almost didn't audition for "The Voice." If it was not for his wife's encouragement, another singer would have been crowned champion in the hit show.

"She's so supportive. She's actually the one that pushed me to go ahead and do the audition, I almost didn't do it," he revealed.

"She had broken her arm and had a cast on and was home with the kids. [She] was just having a really hard time and I was like, 'You know what? What are the chances that I'm even going to get on the show, I'm just got from stay home.' And she said, 'No, you need to go do this,' and here I am."
