Mexican comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños "Chespirito's" health has improved, although he has difficulty moving, but the fact that he lives at sea level has benefited his health considerably, said the actor's son.
Roberto Gómez Fernández denied the rumors that his father was seriously ill and with a medical diagnosis which gave him few hopes of living. In an interview with the Mexican media, during the launch of "El Chavo del Ocho" and "El Chapulín Colorado" toys for McDonald's happy meals, Gómez Fernández denied being the one who revealed his father's medical condition on Twitter, describing the information as lies and deceit. "I never tweeted that, couldn't have," he said sharply, according to El Universal.
The producer and director for Televisa, network in which Chespirito collaborated since his youth and where he carried out his most renowned comical projects such as "El Chavo", "Doña Florinda", "La Chilindrina" and "El Chapulín Colorado"; and added that although his father has difficulty moving and has sporadic crises where he has trouble breathing, his health is stable and living at sea level in the Mexican Caribbean is helping him in all regards.
"He has more trouble moving (...), he used to show off his agility. (He suffers) from breathing problems, in his lungs mostly," said Roberto Gómez Fernández.
The comedian's family said that they're used to receiving "catasthrophic" news regarding Roberto Gómez' health; however, the information spreading through local media and social networks never reach the actor's ears.
"Chapulín Colorado" Will Have Animated Show in 2015
Roberto Gómez Fernández announced that in 2015 the animated version of "El Chapulín Colorado" will launch, a superhero created by Chespirito and who captivated Mexican television during the 70's and Latin America in the following decades and up to today.
The producer said that he's currently working in the first episodes of the show based on the original scripts and highlighted that, despite doubts of success, the experience with "El Chavo Animado" increased expectations.
"We're starting el Chapulín with a little more confidence and what we're achieving is spectacular," said Chespirito's son, reported Vanguardia.
