For Mexican filmmaker Gael García, being a part of the jury of the 67th edition of the Cannes Festival is a serious game in which it will be decided which movie will be given the Palm d'Or from among 18 movies.

Under the presidency of Jane Campion, the jury acknowledged that the assignation of awards will be a problematic and difficult decision, but objective, in the search to acknowledged the great cinematographic value of the nominated films.

Gael García Bernal assured said that being a part of the Cannes jury is a "serious game, but a game", occupying a different role from previous years in which he was present as an actor or director.

"Finally, I'm going just to watch films and enjoy them. I want to go to the theater without thinking about what's going to happen after. I want it to be a surprise. I don't know what I'm looking for. I just want to go to the theater and watch the movies," said Gael in Cannes.

This year, the festival will project a remastered version of "A Fistfull of Dollars", the 1964 "spaghetti western" pioneer, with director Quentin Tarantino as its presenter.

According to organizers, the Cannes Film Festival will present the film directed by Sergio Leone in 1964 and starring Clint Eastwood and Gian Maria Volonté to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the "spaghetti western".

"The projection will be presented by Quentin Tarantino, a great admirer of Sergio Leone, who has always acknowledged how much his own movies owe to the westerns of the great Italian masters," reads the press release published on Tuesday night, reported Reuters.
