The second day of the Democratic National Convention is headlined by former President Bill Clinton.

Clinton is scheduled to speak during the primetime hour of 10:30 p.m. EDT, in effort to further promote President Barack Obama and his handling of the economy.

Clinton has already shown support for Obama during several fundraising events and appeared in an advertisement comparing his economic success to Obama's.

According to the Washington Post, Clinton will "lay out for us the reasons why America can't take a chance on handing the White House back to the very Republicans who brought us to the brink of another Great Depression."

To see Clinton speak on behalf Obama is significant due to helping his wife, Hillary, compete against Obama during the 2008 Presidential Primaries.

According to CBS News, the relationship between the two presidents "has improved," but likely for another Hillary Clinton run in 2016.

CBS noted Former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell has said, "Bill Clinton knows the name virtually of 70 percent of the people in that room, I'm not kidding you, he knows the name and he has met them. And not only does he know the name, he knows what they do for a living. He may even know their dog's name."
