Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas seem to have called it quits after two years of being in a relationship.

Amid speculations that they are set to marry soon, Hello reported that the Prince and his girlfriend agreed to part "amicably" due to public pressure.

Prince Harry and Cressie Bonas met in 2012 through Princess Eugenie. Cressida was then a budding actress and model before she entered a relationship with the Princess' first cousin.

Before the break up rumors surfaced, the couple were seen regularly hanging-out, having fancy dinners, and attending royal events, leading to theories that the two might walk the wedding aisle soon.

Just this March, Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas attended the We Day charity event together at Wembly Grand Arena, where the Prince delivered his keynote address to more than 12,000 people. The two were even photographed holding hands and kissing each other; an indication that their relationship was going strong, the Telegraph UK reported.

A source from the Telegraph UK said that the ex-couple have decided to separate to "pause for a breather" after they were reportedly having a hard time dealing with public pressure.

Accordingly, Cressida cannot stand the media covering the details of their relationship. She even turned down high-paying modeling jobs just to avoid speculations that she might be used due to her involvement with a member of the Royal clan.

In an interview with the US Magazine last year, Jacob, the brother of Cressida Bonas, admitted that it was indeed difficult for her sister to date the Prince.

Nevertheless, a source from the Daily Mail said that the two remain best of friends despite their break-up.

Contrary to the spreading rumors that the cause of the break-up is Cressida's clingy attitude, the Daily Mail source confirmed that the 25-year-old Dance major chose her career over the relationship. Cressida recently graduated and pursues a career in Marketing at a company in London's Soho.

Prince William's younger brother reportedly accepted the fate of his relationship and supported his ex-girlfriend's decision to "focus on her career" although sources from both the Telegraph and Daily Mail suggest that the two might get back together.

Prince William and Kate Middleton separated briefly in 2007 before they got married.
