The epic foursome of "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" is about to reunite for, "Sisterhood Everlasting," the third installment of the popular friendship-themed franchise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is an adaptation of the fifth and final book of the "Sisterhood" series. The series is written by Ann Brashares and released March of 2012. The film is set 10 years later when the four girls have gone their own separate ways. Tibby, played by Amber Tamblyn in previous films, attempts to bring the all girls back together for an epic trip to reunite them.

The announcement was made by Alloy Entertainment on Wednesday but the alleged film has yet to receive a release date, writes Mashable.

Presently, there is no confirmation if the original crew will be headlining the film, namely Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrara and Amber Tamblyn.

The coming-of-age tale was first released in 2005 and grossed $42 million worldwide with the follow up raking in another $44.4 million in 2008, recalls The Hollywood Reporter.

"The Sisterhood series is one of Alloy's most cherished properties and we are looking forward to continuing its legacy with Sisterhood Everlasting nearly a decade after the first film was released," quotes THR of of Alloy Entertainment president Les Morgenstein. "The original film brought together an incredible group of talent who we hope to unite for fans once again."

Liz Garcia will be in charge of the film adaptation while Ken Kwapis, who directed the 2005 film will be returning to lead production. Other people with behind the scenes roles include Les Morgenstein and Elysa Dutton of Alloy who will produce the film alongside Christine Sacani, enumerates Deadline.
