Singer Juan Gabriel continues to recover favorably after a case of pneumonia which forced him to remain hospitalized for many days in Las Vegas.

Despite an official press release reporting on the singer's stable health, sources quoted by gossip magazine TV Notas assured that the Divo of Juárez' condition is delicate, alleging he suffers from cancer.

The uncertainty of the health of one of the global icons of Latino music invaded Mexican media, forcing his family to make statements quoted exclusively by Univisión, denying the rumors of cancer and risks to the singer's health.

According to Uforia,  Juan Gabriel suffered a strong emotional blow after his grandson's death in a Texas jail, which submerged him in a depression which made him eat excessive quantities of chocolate, complicating sugar levels in his blood.

The doctor said that Juan Gabriel suffers from diabetes, high blood pressure, and inflation of the vocal chords and is currently waiting to leave the Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center.

Through a press release, the singer's staff cleared up the rumors of cancer, saying they're erroneous and that his health is recovering considerably and he is currently resting, so interviews or statements to the media will not be made until he has full recovered.
