Daniel Radcliffe is not only comfortable in the limelight, he also does well in the spotlight. The name who gave a face to JK Rowling's hero is not only notable for his wizarding ways, but for his Broadway performances as well.

Radcliffe has always been greeted with applause on stage, and it's something that he still has to get used to. In a report by KhaleejTimes.com, he shared, "It's just something we are so unaccustomed to in England. Obviously, it's a sign of being very liked and that's lovely. It's just something I don't think I'll ever get used to."

It seems that American audiences are more reactive compared to the Englishmen. Radcliffe told Variety, "It's gorgeous. We don't really ooh and aah in London. We don't gasp."

According to the Daily Mail UK, Radcliffe's performance on the opening night of his new Broadway show, "The Cripple of Inishmaan" was given a warm reception by his adoring fans, and the 24-year-old actor definitely deserved his standing ovation.

Among his admirers include chat show diva, Barbara Walters, and acclaimed Vogue editor, Anna Wintour.

Even critics praised his performance, with Variety praising his 'warm, sensitive performance,' while he is 'entirely convincing as the boy who is regarded as least likely to succeed at pretty much anything," according to the New York Times

But why cast an Englishman in a mostly-Irish play? According to the show's director, Michael Grandage, it was all Radcliffe's idea. Grandage told Variety, "He likes doing things he's not done before. He likes going out of his comfort zone."

Well that explains his plethora of other roles. Not only has Radcliffe been a boy wizard, but according to Newsday.com, he has also done a mature role in Broadway's "Equus," a radical character in the film, "Kill Your Darlings" and even a musical role as a con man in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and a as a dad in the horror movie, "The Lady in Black."
