Bono, the lead singer of Irish rock band U2, opened up about his religious beliefs, his faith in God and he admitted that he believes  that Jesus is the Son of God and rose from the dead.

During an interview for Irish television network “Radio Reilifis Éireann” (RTÉ), the singer told Gay Byrne that he prays and asks God to guide his life and to let him know his will as he believes that is the best way to have an answer to his requests.

Bono also noted that he is used to praying with his family and reads the Bible with his children and also prays for others in need.

“I pray to get to know the will of God, because then prayers have more chance of coming true. I mean that’s the thing of a prayer, isn’t?. We don’t exagerate it in our family, it’s just a bunch of us on the bed usually, we have a very big bed in our house. And we prayed with all our kids, we just read the Scriptures, we pray... is not even regular. Sometimes if we go to church on a Sunday, we go to the church on our own as a family for peace and quiet.”
