Maite Perroni expressed her excitement and gratefulness for the opportunity that Televisa has given her to become a better actress and to continue her musical projects in the telenovela "La Gata", soon to premiere.

Maite Perroni returns to TV not only with a starring role in the remake of the Venezuelan telenovela "La Gata", but also as the voice for its soundtrack, a bachata edited by Mau Arriaga and Lalo Murguía and produced by Gianco Gómez, the actress said in an interview with El Mañana.

The song, which is a part of Maite's new album, "Eclipse de Luna" can be heard on May 5 at 16:15 hours CST, when the telenovela begins its broadcast, the filming of which began last February, with a garbage dump in Chalco being the main stage.

"This is a story of work, of overcoming. If you have to tell a story you have to know what your character is feeling and the reality of your country," said Perroni, reported Univisión.

The cast of Nathalie Lartilleux' new telenovela is complemented, besides Maite Perroni and Daniel Arenas, by a group of first-class actors like Laura Zapata, Manuel Ojeda, Leticia Perdigón and Erika Buenfil.
