The highly-buzzed OnePLus One smartphone has announced through their social media accounts the particular countries where the handset will be made available.

As previously reported by BGR, the highly anticipated smartphone will be offered in 16 markets initially. The countries included in the invite-only list are the US, UK, Taiwan, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Italy, Hong Kong, Germany, France, Finland, Denmark, Canada, Belgium and Austria.

The company has put in place a selling strategy for their upcoming handset - the OnePlus Invite System, Phone Dog stated. Being an invite-only launch event the OnePlus One maker plans to send out their invitations through forums, contests and even friends. However, the invitations will be limited in number.

The company makes an assurance though, that the handset will be a lot more convenient to purchase as time goes by. "Unfortunately, the company says that it doesn't have any invitations to give away right now, but it does promise that more details will be shared when the OnePlus One launches," Phone Dog says.

According to OnePLus forums, their unique invite system will help in controlling an overwhelming demand by the scheduled launch and start a unique kind of selling method. However it should also be noted that there is a high chance too, for future buyers to easily get frustrated by the limited invitations strategized by the company.

The OnePlus One handset rumored features include a 13 MP Sony Exmor camera, CyanogenMod OS and its voice-based offerings, a 3100mAh battery, global LTE support, 3GB RAM, 5.5-inch 1080p display and a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, reports BGR.

It has also been mentioned that its price will be less than $400 or £290. This price may possibly be for the handset's 16GB version but no rumored cost yet for the 64GB model. Though no actual release date yet has been given out, Trusted Reviews writes that the phone may arrive on April 23 in the UK.
