It seems that Wu-Tang fans are not sitting still after news of a $5 million-bidder for the one-of-a-kind album broke out.

According to The Verge, two fans from Utah and California have turned to crowd-funding site, Kickstarter, in an attempt to raise $5 million. The fundraising, headlined "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin - For Wu Fans, For Wu People," urges Wu-Tang fans all over the world:

"For all the fans who won't be able to pay 30-50 bucks to listen to a double album in one sitting, let's raise enough money to buy this album and then turn around and give it away for free. Wu members can still get their CREAM and the rest of us get to enjoy an epic album instead of some uber rich b**tard keeping it to himself like a collector's item."

The coveted Wu-Tang album reportedly contains 31 tracks which were recorded in secret for the past few years, says Forbes. The whole album will be encased in a handcrafted and high value-box made from silver and nickel. What's even more is that Wu-Tang has commissioned no less than British-Moroccan artist Yahya to craft the box, notes Forbes.

Wu-Tang member Robert "RZA" Diggs spoke with Forbes regarding the million-dollar album saying, "We're about to sell an album like nobody else sold it before. We're about to put out a piece of art like nobody else has done in the history of [modern] music.  We're making a single-sale collector's item. This is like somebody having the scepter of an Egyptian king."

The hip-hop group plans to take the "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin" album on a tour before it is sold off, adds Forbes. The album will be available for a literal "listening concert" in museums, galleries and festivals, among others, says The Verge. Admission for such concert is expected to range $30 to $50, the outlet shares.
