Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers will have a documentary called "Kobe Bryant's Muse", made after his life growing up and his spectacular NBA career, bound to air on Showtime in the fall of 2014, in a report by ESPN.

Before, Bryant evaded activities and projects that allow others to take a closer view of his background. Compared to many NBA greats, he opts to keep his private life exclusive and does not ordinarily share tips on success or career and life strategies. NBA experts speculate that Kobe may have changed his mind after realizing that he is in his final years in the league and having a documentary made will cement his position in the sport's history.

According to Variety, Kobe himself is the executive producer of the feature-length documentary and will work with director Gotham Chopra. Chopra is also currently working on "The Little Master", an ESPN 30 for 30 film. Bryant and Chopra are both executive producers with Mamba Media.

Chopra said, "As a lifelong Boston Celtics fan, never did I imagine I would collaborate with Laker great Kobe Bryant. Kobe's quest for greatness transcends rivalries and I'm excited by his and Showtime's willingness to go down this rabbit hole together. I'm confident audiences will be intrigued by what comes out the other side."

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that some of the things to expect from the documentary are Kobe's inspirations, achievements and difficulties as he gets ready to return to the NBA for the 2014-2015 season. There will also be revelations about his younger days and his contemplations of how he plans to retire. Showtime said that the details of his personal journey will be covered.

Stephen Espinoza, VP and GM of Showtime Sports, said, "Kobe Bryant's Muse will offer viewers a deep character portrait of a professional athlete who has transcended his sport to become a culture-moving personality. We are thrilled that Kobe has given us this unprecedented access, which will allow our viewers to witness such a challenging period of time in the life of one of the NBA's greatest players."
