"Glee" Season 5, episode 16 which aired Tuesday, April 15 sure was busy! The episode titled "Tested," tackled related topics of self-confidence, STDs, virginity and sex.

"When the boys get tested for STDs, Artie tests positive for a disease and he's forced to tell his sexual partners. Meanwhile, Kurt and Blaine have relationship issues when Blaine puts on his "freshman fifteen" in the all-new 'Tested' episode of GLEE," according to the episode's press release shared by Spoiler TV.

Artie and the "Clap"

The show had a few big reveals including the fact that our Gleeks aren't practicing safe sex. In the episode, Artie, who had his fair-share of flings, learns that he has contracted a sexually transmitted disease, the "Clap," and feared missing out on dating a girl he really likes once she learns of his sexual behavior.

Sam and Mercedes Wait it Out

While Artie has been getting down and dirty, Mercedes and Sam are on the other side of the promiscuity-spectrum - abstinence. After seeking advice from Rachel, who told her about her experience with Finn, Mercedes decides to wait until marriage to engage in sex. At first, Sam couldn't live with the decision but after taking some time, he realized he'd rather live without sex than Mercedes, writes Hollywood Life.

Freshman 15

Other highlights of the episode? There is trouble in paradise between Blaine and Kurt and one that revolves around body image. While Kurt has been hitting the fitness regime hard, Blaine has let himself go and has gained the dreadful "freshman 15". Cinema Blend concludes that this has effectively shattered Blaine's confidence and has made him jealous of the hottie Kurt has become.

Although "Glee" still has a strong following, According to Zap2it, "the dramedy matched last week's 1.0 rating in the key 18-49 demo, but fell in viewership from 2.8 million to 2.45 million."
