The cast of the new Mexican telenovela "La Gata" starring Maite Perroni and Daniel Arenas filmed some scenes in the city of Taxco, in the state of Guerrero, after visiting New York last week.

Star Daniel Arenas and Jorge Poza were part of the production's cast, and shared moments with their followers on social networks, showing off the beauty of one of Mexico's many "magical towns".

Through Twitter, the hotel where filming took place shared images of the cast, the producer and the director of Taxco's Ministry of Tourism, Jesús Radilla Calderón.

Through the same platform, Jesús Radilla Calderón shared images in the company of producer Nathalie Lartilleux and Daniel Arenas.

The promotional video for the upcoming telenovela starring Maite Perroni was published online in early April by Televisa, showing the former RBD with Daniel Arenas, who will play the starring couple in "La Gata".

For Maite, this project is one of the most important in her career, because of the challenge of playing a character so different from what she's done before. "This is a story of work, of overcoming. If you're going to tell a story you have to know what your character is feeling," Perroni told "Televisa Espectáculos", reported Univisión.

In an interview with radio host Javier Poza of Radio Fórmula, Perroni said that producer Nathalie Lartilleux has allowed her to fulfill her commitments as a singer and added that one of the telenovela's theme songs is a part of her upcoming album.

"It's a well-rounded project, in which I'm going to play 'La Gata' and sing the theme song for the telenovela, and I think it's a good moment to unite these two aspects of mine," she said.
