Chris Martin may not be doing so well in the love and home-life department, but his career is looking pretty solid right now.

The 37-year-old Coldplay singer joined the four coaches of "The Voice" on Monday as a special guest who helped contestants prepare for their round two Battles performances, reports Just Jared.

Today reveals that as a guest mentor, Martin serves as an adviser to all coaches' teams. In the new format of the show, remaining artists from each team will challenge each other and square off with all previous winners and stolen artists performing the same song. This new structure replaces the previous knockout Rounds where competition is done using different songs.

According to NBC, the "Viva la Vida" singer "advised each of 'The Battles: Round Two' performers on vocal techniques, stage presence and the importance of tailoring songs to fit their persona and strengths."

"The Voice's" executive producer, Mark Burnett says, "He's such an authentic voice in the industry. We could not be happier." Burnett continues, "There's a massive level of respect from the singers and the surprise from them (when they met him) : 'Whoa! Chris Martin. Wow!' "

Chris Martin was part of the competition's show during the battles but will appear again on April 1 and 7, reports USA Today.

Watch the clip below of Chris Martin's big advice. In the preview, Team Blake's Audra McLaughlin and Megan Ruger are facing off to Miley Cyrus' "The Climb." Martin talks to the pair and tells them to work the audience saying, "This is a song about trying to get somewhere together, so cover the area -- you need to bring out your Mick Jaggers a bit."

"The Voice" airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 ET/PT on NBC.

Chris Martin Divorce Update

After Martin and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow's public announcement of their split through a blog post titled "conscious uncoupling," the co-parents were spotted in the Bahamas with their children, Apple, 9, and Moses, 7.

NY Daily News reports that "Just days after announcing they were breaking up after 10 years of marriage, the A-list couple have been inseparable on their island getaway." The news continues to say, "Paltrow, 41, cozied up next to Martin, 37, during their dinner date in paradise."
