One of the photos included in the Vogue April issue, which featured reality star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West on the cover, showed Kanye taking a photo of his baby mama Kim holding their bundle of joy North in her arms. She was in the process of taking a selfie with her daughter as he appears to snap a picture of them on his tablet.
On the outset, the image looks pretty normal. It was set in a "lavish nursery room in front of mirrored walls," the Daily Mail observed. However, if you take a second look, you may notice something odd about the shot - Kanye's reflection is missing from the mirror he's in front of.
"Shouldn't...shouldn't Kanye be in the mirror?" asked BuzzFeed editor Katherine Miller in a tweet she posted Monday night.
"Although Kanye may very well be a vampire, the oddity likely is down to a botched photoshop job," the British entertainment publication wryly added.
"It's a glaring mistake, which predictably has Twitter users collectively believing they are just hilarious and so original each time they wonder if the photo is proof the 36-year-old is really a vampire," the Huffington Post noted.
As predicted and expected, a series of hilarious memes and tweets flooded Twitter, including one that featured the Pope and another showing him staring at his own photo. There even is one with a political flavor, showing him taking a selfie of President Barack Obama and other heads of state. The original image, which had sparked some controversy due to what appears as a lack of decorum, was taken during Nelson Mandela's funeral.
The vampire association is based on the mythology that such blood-sucking entities are unable to see their reflections on mirrors or other shiny surfaces because they reportedly have no souls.
Does this mean Kanye doesn't have one?
