Shakira presented her latest album in Burbank, California, offering a small private concert at the iHeart Radio Theater hours before it was released.

In the company of her partner, footballer Gerard Piqué, the Colombian singer arrived at around 5:00 p.m. to the event, she a select group of guests and media awaited her to witness the official launch of her latest album, titled "Shakira", launched to celebrate her 37th birthday.

"Presenting new material always makes you a little nervous, a lot of adrenaline and excitement, I hope the fans enjoy it very much because it's work I've invested almost two years and a half of my life into and it's finally here. I'm very happy with the end result," said Shakira during the presentation, adding that her next project is an album fully in Spanish, since "Shakira" has 12 songs, most of them in English, 3 in Spanish and one in Catalan.

Shakira said that every song of her album is different, answering to different feelings projected in different genres like rock, pop, folk, reggae and even country. The Colombian singer said that she decided the record the song "Boig Per Tu" in Catalan to honor the two most important Catalans in her life.

With great excitement, Shakira revealed she had composed "23" in dedication to Gerard Piqué, which has a small participation from their son Milan in the chorus at the end of the song, which according to Shakira, was not planned.

The singer from Barranquilla was not able to hide the love and admiration she feels for the footballer, and acknowledged she has become an expert in soccer thanks to Piqué.

"I really hope that my Colombia plays a good role and other Latinos too... I have a feeling that South American soccer and Latin American in general will be great and that's what matters, no? But of course, I also care that Gerard plays a spectacular role," said Shakira, as reported in La Opinión.

"Shakira" will be available in stores starting on March 25.
