Venezuelan host Alessandra Villegas confirmed her departure from the talk show "Un Nuevo Día" by Telemundo, after not being in the show for a few days.

Through her Facebook account, Villegas told her followers of her decision to leave the network, thanking her colleagues for the support they offered her during her three years in the show, without revealing further details on her exit.

"To all my followers who have wondered where I've been in recent days. I formally let you know that I am no longer a part of @UnNuevoDia ...Thanks to @Telemundo and my colleagues for these 3 years of learning and to you, the audience for your blessings. I will soon inform you on the new route my career will take," wrote the Venezuelan.

In an interview with People en Español, Alessandra confirmed her exit from Telemundo, saying from that moment onwards, "There is a new phase of growth and consolidation" for her career. Assuring that they would soon reveal their new projects.

Alessandra's departure from "Un Nuevo Día" happened surprisingly. Starting last Thursday, March 13, the host simply stopped showing up for the show. Telemundo confirmed, on their part, through a press release, thanking her for her professionalism and dedication to the show, according to People.

Through her Instagram account, Villegas shared an image of her in the company of her partner Daniel Sarcos ready to travel to the Dominican Republic where she will participate in the Soberano Awards.
