Obama may be the coolest president in recent times. He used Twitter before it became cool for politicians to do so. He has Tumblr. And now, he appeared in an off-beat humorous web-zine with funnyman Zach Galifianakis to promote Obamacare.

Of course, it didn't immediately start off as a plug. Before he touted the success of Healthcare.gov, he and Galifianakis tossed around some zingers, starting with Zach asking Obama, "What is it like to be the last black president?" to which Obama, the first black president, replied with, "Seriously?! What's it like for this to be the last time you ever talk to a president?"

Even as Obama went on to plug about health care insurance, the pair still kept the jokes going while keeping it deadpan.

"Have you heard of the Affordable Care Act?" the president asked the bearded host, to which Galifianakis replied, equally deadpan, "Oh, yeah, I heard about that. That's the thing that doesn't work."

Of course, that led to the president touting the success of the website, which had all the bugs and kinks worked out, and he proceeded on telling viewers the importance of signing up for health care, and how to do it.

The president's appearance of Galifianakis's web show seemed to have worked, though. According to the Huffington Post, White House Senior Communications Advisor Tara McGuinness announced that the Funny or Die website is currently the top referrer to Healthcare.gov.

The success of Obamacare lies on the participation of the younger social strata, and with the March 31 deadline looming close, the Obama administration is pushing to reach their audience. Said Huffington Post, "The millions of views on the 'Between Two Ferns' video in less than 24 hours prove that this unconventional approach has been a success."
