Just one day after her 30th birthday, songstress Leann Rimes has checked herself into an in-patient mental health facility for treatment to address emotional issues that she is suffering: namely, stress and anxiety.

Rimes, who entered treatment on Wednesday, says she is seeking coping skills to help her deal with her frenzied life as a top music artist. Her treatment plan includes a 30-day stay at a private facility.

"This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be," Rimes told People Magazine in a recent interview.

Rimes's husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, says he is giving his wife his full support in her decision to seek help.

"My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know," Cibrian said. "I am so proud of her for having the strength to finally take some time for herself. I will be with her every step of the way."

Rimes's rep, Marcel Pariseau, is also behind the country with full support. In an exclusive statement to People Magazine he said, "Leann has voluntarily entered a 30-day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress. While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."

Rimes's new album, Spitfire, is slated to be released in the near future. She is currently on tour to promote the album and although she will remain in treatment for the next month, the facility that is accommodating her has agreed to grant permission for her to leave on the weekends in order to perform concerts.

"All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I'm hoping they're not going to affect me as much," Rimes said. "I'll have the tools to know how to deal with them."
