When Oscars host, Ellen DeGeneres ordered pizza during the awards show, she did not have money to tip the delivery guy, so she collected some from celebrities, using Pharrell William's infamous mountain fedora.

As it turned out, the few pizzas he helped dole out to the stars were just a fraction of the orders. According to The Daily Mail, he was actually fulfilling an order for five of Big Mama's and Papa's specialty pizzas. All the audience saw at the ceremony was the selection for the smaller pies.

Nobody actually saw her give him his tip that night, so did the delivery guy actually get what the stars owed? He did, with a few hundred more.

Although he did not get it that same night, the delivery guy, later revealed to be Edgar Martiroysan, joined Ellen on her show the following Monday, where she handed him $1,000.

As she handed him his well-deserved tip, Ellen said that she ended up collecting around $600, but added another few hundred to it, handing him a total of $1,000.

The thousand, is only a little of the amount that the chain actually scored during Ellen's stint. According to News.com, an ad during the Oscars costs about $1.8 million, and the publicity that Edgar and his pizzeria scored is thought to be worth around $10 million, so that's good old free publicity right there.

Edgar, who also owned the pizzeria, told NY Daily News, "They told me I'm going to deliver pizzas for writers, and then when I went there, Ellen (DeGeneres) came out and told me, 'Just follow me.' When I was going, I realized I'm on the stage, and I just went. ... I wasn't nervous. I was cool. I was shocked. I didn't know what was going on."

He said that he planned on sharing the biggest tip he ever received with his staff.

As for his business, he shared that "It's good.  A lot of calls. It's busy, it's good." He also added that he even got calls from his home country of Armenia and Russia, where he used to live.

The big question though, did he meet his favorite star that night? He did. He admitted on The Daily Mail that meeting his celebrity crush, Julia Roberts, was "really crazy."

"She was my woman in dreams, I was always watching her movies back in Moscow, like Pretty Woman. So it was something crazy to me to give her pizza," he shared.
