The Old Trafford was once a place of destiny for many top stars. Now it seems that most people cannot leave soon enough. Mexican star Javier Hernandez seems like the next big player to leave the club.
The foreboding got underway when Mexico national team coach Miguel Herrera stated rather candidly that "Chicharito" was frustrated with the playing time he gets under manager David Moyes.
"Chicharito is frustrated because the current coach doesn't give him many minutes, but he continues to be very committed," said Herrera, according to Goal.com.
But the most ominous hint came from the player himself who made a cryptic post on his Instagram that stated "The time to speak about so many things will come..."
It is hard to blame Hernandez for his desire to leave. The forward has struggled to get playing time with his club since his arrival in 2010-11; he has never started more than 18 games for the team in any of his four seasons and this year looks to be no different. Furthermore, his lack of playing time has been reflected in his performances for the Mexican national team; his image has been ridiculed time and again for his lack of efficiency.
But it is one thing to be a substitute for a team coached by Sir Alex Ferguson, one of the best mentors and coaches in the game, while still competing for a championship every year. And it is another one completely to be playing for a team that is struggling to finish in the top four and is likely not going to be competing for any major tournaments next year.
