One cannot call Johnny Depp cheap, especially when he tends to shower his lady with expensive gifts, one of which sings to a tune of $17 million for his fiancée, Amber Heard.
The hefty gift being talked about is Hadspen Manor, an extravagant 12-bedroom, 8-bathroom house in Somerset, England. According to Celebitchy.com, it is to be a jumpstart to their intimate barefoot wedding on his private island.
According to The Daily Mail, the estate will also be in Heard's name, but Depp will be moving in with her as soon as possible. The Mail wrote, "The stunning abode, which looks like it has been taken straight out of a Jane Austen novel, also features sprawling walled gardens and a shoot."
Now Magazine reports that the extra rooms in the estate may come in handy for the family that the couple will have in the future. A source for the magazine said that "Johnny's desperate to become a dad again. Amber refuses to have a baby until they're married, which was part of the reason behind the proposal."
The planned marriage is not the first one for Depp. The 50-year-old actor was first divorced 29 years ago from his first wife, Lori Anne Allison, who was a make-up artist. He was also previously engaged to actresses Jennifer Grey, Winona Ryder, and Sherilyn Fenn. His last relationship before Heard, however, was with his partner of 14 years. The actor was with actress, singer, and model Vanessa Paradis, who also happens to be the mother of his children, 14-year-old Lily-Rose and 11-year-old Jack.
According to Softpedia.com, Depp met and became involved while working on "The Rum Diary" together, and it was believed that he popped the question sometime in late 2013. Despite being among the highest-paid actors in Hollywood, he had no plans whatsoever on signing a prenup.
