J.J. Abrams has addressed the rumors about his meeting with "Breaking Bad" actor Jesse Plemons.

The "Breaking Bad" star was rumored to meet with the director to talk about the lead role in "Star Wars: Episode VII." Plemons denied the rumors, while Abrams seemed a bit shocked to read about a meeting that he had not yet planned.

"It's not often that I'm reading about actors I'm meeting. I read articles about meeting with actors and then when I see them it's like, 'Oh, I read I'm going to be meeting with you!' It's usually agents talking with people about things," said Abrams, according to IGN.

"It's amazing to see how many there are," Abrams reflected. "It's really remarkable. But it's sweet, because it shows that there's an interest in this movie that we all obviously know is there. But it is incredible to see how many crazy things get thrown out that people often write commentaries about how happy they are, or how disappointed they are, about things that are completely false. It's a lot of noise."

"Star Wars: Episode VII" is one of the most talked about films in the business. There has been no confirmation on who will star in the film, but rumor has it that the new version of the script will give Han, Luke and Leia one last time to shine before turning over the baton to their offspring. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are rumored to reprise the iconic roles while Michael Fassbender and Hugo Weaving have been in the rumor mills of late.

The film is slated for a December 2015 release.
