Monday this week saw the release of Rihanna and Shakira's duet, "Can't Remember to Forget You" - a collaboration that's sure to be a hit among both successful artists' fanbases.

If you haven't heard the brand new track yet, you're probably thinking the song is dripping with sexiness, as both singers are known for their overflowing sex appeal and sultry moves. That's what some of the folks at CNN also assumed. At least in the beginning.

"When we first heard that Shakira was teaming up with Rihanna for a new song, we imagined something sultry would be the result, a track along the lines of Shakira's hit with Beyoncé, 'Beautiful Liar.'"

Apparently, that's not the case with the super duo's new single. This is made clear by the guitar instrumentation that greets you right at the opening of the track.

"We're both from the Caribbean, so I always thought we had this common ground and this song is pretty reggae, but it also has that rock attitude that I think Rihanna has, so that's why I thought she was the natural choice for collaboration on this record, but I also thought it was a little bit of a challenge to get her to record this track because she's so busy," Shakira recently revealed to Ryan Seacrest during On Air with Ryan Seacrest.

"I honestly thought it'd never happen, but I said, 'I'm going to send it to her and see what happens.' And she heard the record and she loved it and she said she was on board and I was the happiest girl alive!" the sexy mother-of-one gushed.

You can listen to "Can't Remember to Forget You" on Shakira's YouTube Vevo channel, which has already gained over 4 million listens. You can also listen to it through CNN or RyanSeacrest.com. You can also download the song on iTunes.
