Zlatan Ibrahimovic has expressed interest in being reunited with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

There have been rumors circulating about the French club Paris Saint-Germain potentially showing interest in buying Messi from Barcelona. Ibrahimovic did not pay credence to the rumors but did indicate that he would be happy to be reunited with Messi; the two played together briefly for Barcelona from 2009-11.

"If he's up for sale then the whole world will be after him, not just PSG," Ibrahimovic said, according to Sportsnet. "I don't know the situation but I think he's very happy at Barcelona.

"The press creates this but only he knows the truth. PSG's project is to dream bigger but if you buy Messi, you don't dream bigger, you are bigger."

The stint in Barcelona did not go particularly well for Ibrahimovic as he was reportedly unhappy with playing second fiddle to Messi. The entire Barcelona team is currently constructed around Messi with him calling the shots and scoring most of the goals. Ibrahimovic is used to being the number one man on his team and had a hard time altering his style of play to suit someone else.

Brazilian phenom Neymar was recently brought in to complement Messi and has responded rather well to the demands.

Ibrahimovic is currently the main man at PSG and has not been harmed in the least by the arrival of Edinson Cavani.

Reports indicated that PSG could be looking to pay as high as 360 million euros for Messi, but there has been no confirmation of this news.
