Rapper Calvin Broadus, better known as Snoop Dogg, had a meeting with Secretary of State John Kerry at the White House last December 9th where they were seen greeting each other with a very diplomatic fist bump.

The video uploaded by Snoop Dogg onto his Instagram account and on Twitter shows his excitement to be able to spend some time with one of the US' top officials.

According to CBS, the video was filmed during the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington where Snoop Dogg was invited to pay homage to jazz legend Herbie Hancock.

The video seems to have been shot on a cellphone and a barely-audible conversation on hip-hop which ended with the fist pounding, and Snoop Dogg saying "You gave me good pounds."

The video on Instagram has gotten over 29,500 views and over 680 comments.

The event organized to commemorate the 36 years of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts took place on December 8 at the White House. Actress Shirley MacLaine, soprano singer Martina Arroyo, jazz musician Herbie Hancock, musician Billy Joel and Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana received awards for their cultural contributions to the United States.
