Bayern Munich and Arsenal will face off in the Champions League for the second straight year. Last year, Munich was the clear-cut favorite in the tie and it seems to be the same this time around. However, the German squad is not taking its opponents lightly.

"They are the Premier League leaders. We don't need to be warned. Some 10 months ago, they beat us 2-0 in the second leg of the last 16," said Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, according to ESPN. "That was the most awkward draw we could get. It is not what we would have wished for. Dortmund had more luck getting drawn to Zenit. But it might be a small advantage that we play our first game in London. You can't change the draw."

The two sides met in London for the first leg last February and Munich ran out to a 3-1 victory that most felt would pre-empt a massive blowout in Munich. That blowout never happened for the German side. Instead, Arsenal came out to a 2-0 lead that tied the aggregate at 3-3; had the Gunners scored a third goal, then Munich would have been eliminated and the historic treble would never have existed.

Arsenal is a far superior squad than it was a year ago, currently leading the Premier League. Arsenal could have avoided the draw altogether with a tie against Napoli, but the team lost and wound up tied in points with Borussia Dortmund; Arsenal finished second because it gave up more away goals against the German side than it scored.

Who wins this matchup: Munich or Arsenal?
