Two teenage parents have been accused by the Chautauqua, N.Y. Police Department of forcing their 2-year-old baby to smoke marijuana.

According to The Buffalo News, on Friday, Dec. 13 the baby's mother, Jessica Kelsey, 17, and father, George Kelsey, 18, have been formally charged with imprudence for putting the minor's health at risk during an incident on Dec. 5.

The baby's grandfather, a 54-year-old man, also allegedly participated in the incident, and has also been accused by the police.

Don Baker, Jessica's father, was in the family's apartment on Dec. 5, located in Mayville, when the three of them helped, observed or made the baby smoke marijuana.

While authorities have not revealed how they learned of the incident, the Daily Mail reports that the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office had access to a video recorded by the baby's parents.

The sheriff's office, the district attorney and the Department of Child Protection have now started an investigation to determine the situation of those involved, and to provide the necessary attention for the minor.

The 2-year-old and another minor have been put under the care of Child Protection, according to Buffalo News.
