The 10th episode of the Kalos-based Pokémon anime series has aired in Japan and major developments were revealed.

With episode 10, the final starter Pokémon of the Kalos region is obtained. The episode focused on Chespin and by the end of the episode showed which main human protagonist captures the Grass-type Pokémon.

With Ash Ketchum having Froakie, and Serena with Fennekin, Chespin becomes friendly with Lumiose City Gym Leader Clemont. The Electric-type specialist becomes Chespin's owner after Professor Augustine Sycamore said he believed Chespin and Clemont were well suited together.

The addition of Chespin adds onto the growing list of Pokémon owned by the Lumiose City gym leader. Including the Pokémon left at the Lumiose City Gym, Clemont owns Bunnelby, Dedenne, Magnemite, Magneton, and a Heliolisk.

While Pokémon fans in the U.S. have not seen as much of the action as Japanese viewers, the American audience might remember the masked superhero from the two-episode preview on Cartoon Network on Oct. 19 known as Blaziken Mask. He and his Blaziken, and its Mega Evolution Mega Blaziken, helped save Ketchum after he dove from the Lumiose City tower to save Pikachu following a confrontation with an out-of-control Garchomp. Blaziken Mask has resurfaced and his identity has been revealed.

As seen by the end of the 10th episode, the main behind the mask is Clemont's father. His English-translated name has not been confirmed but in Japan he is known as Limone.

The U.S. airdate of the 10th episode is unknown but likely for late March 2014.
