DICE, the game developers for the Battlefield franchise, announced the delay of the patch for Battlefield 4 for Playstation 4. According to a report from Gamespot.com. the patch had to undergo additional testing before it is released to gamers.

The announcement read, "The PS4 game update that was originally meant to go live on December 3 is undergoing some additional testing and will be rescheduled for a later date. We will get back with final details as soons as we have verification that the update is good to go."

The patch was designed to address several issues within the video game. According to ComputerandVideogames.com, these include:

  1. Remove the blur effect on soldiers that appeared when Commanders were using EMP attacks;
  2. Fixe the audio bug where audio sometimes randomly drops out while playing on certain multiplayer maps (typically Golmud Railway and Hainan Resort);
  3. Fix the "one-hit kill bug" where occasional damage from a single bullet was applied multiple times;
  4. Fix a common crash that would occur when exiting from the Single Player Campaign to Main Menu;
  5. Tweak the network and computer performance screen to show proper values. Players can now test their computer and network connection and get recommendations if they need to adjust something to improve their gameplay experience.

On the other hand, Escapistmagazine.com had reported that the China Rising DLC is now available. The content is the first of five expansion sets for EA's Battlefield 4. This expansion set provides four new multiplayer maps namely Altai Range, Dragon Pass, Guilin Peaks and Silk Road. There is also a an additional team-based Air Superiority game mode. There are also two new vehicles available, including a Dirt Bike, a popular platform in the previous version of Battlefield 3 expansion set End Game. There is also the Bomber, which is able to use both conventional bombs and cruise missiles.

China Rising would be free for Battlefield 4 Premium accounts and would be available for sale at $15 to non-subscribers.
