Like her former Disney co-star, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez loves Pau Pau! According to El Diario NY, the 21-year-old singer confessed she admires Mexican star Paulina Rubio and enjoys listening to her music whenever she cans, even though she doesn't know Spanish.
"I can't stop listening to her songs when I have free time. I don't understand the lyrics that well but I'm working on it," said Gómez, as quoted by El Diario NY.
According to that site, Rubio also talked about her admiration for the "Stars Dance" singer. "She is a gorgeous young lady, wonderful, with a special magnetism," said Rubio.
Back in September, Gómez she would like to to get in touch with her Mexican roots and regretted not being fluent in Spanish. "Actually, it's a shame because I should know it better than I do. I don't know it very well because my dad's side of the family, which is the Mexican side, they are in Texas and I'm always traveling and I'm working so it's very hard for me to stay communicated ... but I do wish I could buckle down and I want to actually learn it and be completely fluent, that's probably on my bucket list," said Gomez.
The "Come and Get It" singer said she needed some practice, because she can only speak "a little bit" of Spanish. "I can understand it, I can understand a whole conversation it would just be hard for me to piece the response back."
Recently, Gómez posed for her sexiest shoot yet for Flaunt magazine, wearing black lingerie and a short black wig, the Huffington Post reported. The singer, who is known for not showing as much skin as her peers in the entertainment industry, was shot by Amanda de Cadenet. During the interview with the magazine, Gómez discussed being named after Tejano star Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, her love for inspirational books, and the time she saw a ghost at the age of 16.
