Dayna Morales, a waitress in New Jersey, prides herself on being punctual, professional and serving in the U.S. Marines Corps. However, her dedication to her country and to her job as a server at the Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater was overshadowed by patrons who chose not to tip her on a nearly $100 bill simply because she is gay.

Earlier this week, a family of four stiffed Morales on her tip and left a note on the check that read: "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and how you live your life," reports the Gothamist.

In response, Morales sent the check to the "Have a Gay Day" Facebook page which shared the offensive check on their timeline.

"NEVER in a million years did I think this would happen," Morales told "Have a Gay Day." "Not only was it a family with two kids, but as I introduce myself and tell them my name is Dayna-the mom proceeds to look at me and say 'oh I thought you were gonna say your name is Dan. You sure surprised us!'"

She added, "I am THOROUGHLY offended mad pissed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free. Sorry lady but I don't agree with YOUR lifestyle and the way you're raising your kids but you didn't see me throwing that in your face and giving you shitty service. Keep your damn mouth shut and pray we never cross paths again."

The restaurant's manager told NBC New York, "We don't tolerate discrimination of any kind. Those customers are not welcome here. We support Dayna 100 percent. She's a wonderful person and a wonderful server, and we are extremely proud of her and the way she handled this situation."

According to ABC Eyewitness News, Morales says that though she is openly gay, her sexual preference has no connection to how she serves a table.  She added that she did her job and deserved a tip.
