The PlayStation 4 is finally here, and many have taken it upon themselves to celebrate the console in a variety of unique ways. As has been the case in many console launches in the past, one fan decided that the world needed to see a video of a new PlayStation 4 being shot with a high powered rifle. And one famous NFL wide receiver bought several copies of the PlayStation 4 to help out those who waited until midnight to get the console.

Youtuber Rated RR, infamous for demolishing different pieces of tech with various guns, posted a video of him blowing away the PlayStation 4 with a 50 caliber machine gun. With the rifle's bullets are around the size of a human finger, the PlayStation 4 stood little chance of surviving the encounter. As an added bonus, the video is shot in slow motion, so the destruction is captured dramatically as a the bullet chews its way through the PlayStation 4.

Surprisingly, the man in the video obtained his PlayStation 4 two days before launch, so the man was able to destroy the console before most everyone else was able to even get their hands on it.

In a less entertaining, but certainly less wasteful story, star NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant, who plays for the Dallas Cowboys, decided to help out several people waiting in line at a Dallas Walmart at midnight, buying their consoles for them. According to Sporting News, the football player was at Walmart to buy the console for himself when he quietly gave the cashier enough money for the first five people in line to get the console for free. Several affected fans tweeted about the news and even snagged a picture with Bryant. Considering Bryant is one of the top wide receivers in the NFL today, this act of generosity is welcome to hear.

The PlayStation 4 is now officially available to the public, and soon the Xbox One will launch on Nov. 22. Perhaps similar stories will come out of the launch for that console as well.
