Barca footballer Andrés Iniesta will make his acting debut in the movie "Who Killed Bambi?", which premiered Nov. 7 in Barcelona, according to Europa Press.

Directed by Santi Amodeo and produced by Rodar y Rodar Cine y Televisión, the film stars Julián Villagrán, Ursula Corberó, Joaquín Núñez, Carmina Barrios, Quim Gutíerrez, Enrico Vecchi, Clara Lago and Belén Ponce de Léon.

Actor Ernesto Alterio also stars in the movie, sharing a scene with the footballer who takes on a small role, training on a soccer field.

"Who Killed Bambi?" is the story of two young men from Sevilla who find their boss semi-naked and unconscious. Thinking that he is dead, the men put him inside the trunk of their car to hide his body. The man is accidentally locked inside the trunk and the two men hope they are not discovered.

During Iniesta's scene, the car holding Alterio's character suddenly enters the soccer field where the player is training. Surprised, the footballer approaches the car to scold them for their imprudence.

"Are you insane, friend? Don't you know that this is holy grass?" Iniesta says just before he is hit by the car's door when one of the two passengers attempts to open it.

According to Sport, the footballer had already dabbled in cinema in the past, providing the voice of a character in an animated film.

Europa Press reports Iniesta was present at the red carpet for the film's premiere, where he explained that he enjoyed his role in the movie, acting next to professional actors.

"Despite me not being an actor, I enjoyed the role and I had a good time filming the scene," Iniesta said.

Iniesta also announced on his Twitter account that he is going to become a father once more, and shared a picture with his wife Anna Ortiz, who he married in July 2012.
