Adobe's Flash player hasn't gone over well on mobile devices, and back in June the company announced that it was not working on a Flash player for Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. If you're an owner of a Galaxy S3, and are anxiously waiting for your Jelly Bean update, then this might have come as some bad news.

Luckily, according to YouMobile, Samsung and Adobe have officially stated that all users who upgrade from Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will still get to keep their Flash player.

Samsung is hard at work developing Jelly Bean updates for a variety of its handsets. The Galaxy S3, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy Note 2 smartphones are all expected to have a Jelly Bean upgrade by the fourth quarter of 2012.

The first one to receive the update will be the Samsung Galaxy S3. Website SamMobile recently received a pre-release version of the Galaxy S3's Jelly Bean update, and said that some kinks still needed to be worked out.

The report came out on August 16 and said, "ADVICE of SamMobile is wait for 15 days to get the official updates by KIES or OTA!!!!" This would put the release date at August 31 for those with unlocked, sim-free Galaxy S3s. Everybody else with a Galaxy S3 tied to a carrier will have to wait until their carrier distributes the update sometime soon after that.

SamMobile has also confirmed a Jelly Bean update is in the works for the Galaxy S2 smartphone, meaning there is a good chance the Galaxy Note is being considered for an upgrade too. As for the Galaxy Note 2, it will most likely launch with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and will receive a Jelly Bean upgrade soon after.
