When Kelly Ripa walks into the "Live! With Kelly" studio on September 4th she will at last introduce her new co-cost.

Since Regis Philbin's departure from the show on November 18th 2011, Kelly has tested the waters with 59 potential recruits for the show.

An executive for the show regarded the dawn of a new permanent co-cost as the start of "a whole new era" for 'Live'."

Kelly Ripa got her start in 1990 as a soap opera actress on All My Children as the character Haley Santos. In 2001, Ripa took over for Kathie Lee Gifford and has helmed the show ever since.

Since taking his exit from "Live!" Regis Philbin has guest starred on the television series "Hot in Cleveland" twice as a character named Pierre.

Regis has become a part of America's popular culture, hosting "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Million Dollar Password," and the first season of "America's Got Talent."

The canonical host first garnered attention in 1967 on "The Joey Bishop Show."

Not long ago, it was rumored that Seth Meyers, head writer for SNL and host of the show's Weekend Update segment, but those claims turned out to be unfounded.

When asked if he would accept the position, Meyers said "No, no, no, no, no."

He continued, "I know [Regis' successor] is a very important thing down there...But right now, what I would say to you: I'm really in love with the job I have. I'm very excited to be going back [to SNL] for the election season, which is always fun."

At least we can narrow it down to 1 out of 58 candidates now.
