On September this year, the Cuban born star released her twenty-seventh album, "The Standards", which includes classics sung in Spanish, English, Italian, Portugueses and French. The album includes 16 songs that have deeply influenced Estefan's life and journey in the music industry. "They were all songs that somehow spoke to me personally," she told Billboard Magazine.

"This is the time in my life when I'm doing everything I want to do, when I want to do it. It's 'me time,'" the 56-year-old star told AARP Magazine, according to Latin Gossip .

Back in August, Estefan appeared on "Oprah's Next Chapter" on the OWN network, where she talked about her career and personal life. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the seven-time Grammy Award  opened up about growing up as a Cuban refugee, trying to break into the mainstream music business as a Latina singer, and how she helped paved the way for younger Latino artists like Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, Jennifer López and Shakira.

Later, Estefan was interviewed by AARP Magazine, where she opened up about her relationship with husband Emilio Estefan. In June 2013, the couple celebrated their 34th anniversary. "He's kept me laughing and I think that's a big part of our relationship too and why it's been so good so long. Because if you can laugh with somebody, that's healing for sure," she said.

"Romance is a part of our life every minute. My favorite thing is when he leaves on a trip I will find a little note somewhere I didn't expect: "I love you baby" either next to my toothbrush or on our pillow," added Estefan.
