Mexican singer and actress Maite Perroni traveled to the African continent to promote her new album "Eclipse de Luna".

According to information shared by website Publimetro, "Eclipse de Luna" is the new material from the former RBD member, who will be present in Angola in a local TV station to perform a duet with an African artist.

Perroni explained regarding the hard work she put into her new musical production which she will promote in Africa --a continent where she's already known for her telenovelas "Cachito de Cielo" and "Mi Pecado".

"(...) They were many months of work and dedication trying to find the lyrics and the music, but above all, sound as a form of expression. I hope you like this new proposal and this new phase in my life,", Publimetro quotes.

The singer spoke of her new production as a mix of music she likes, and that she wanted to present a new proposal, different from what she's shown in the past, mixing pop with other Latin rhythms.

"What I wanted was an album with bachata, pop, rock, ballad and vallenato; in the end, as Latinos, we like to listen to everything".

On her Twitter account @MaiteOficial, she informed her fans about her trip to Africa, and shared pictures of her in European cities like Madrid and London.

On her Instagram account, Maite published the first image of her trip to Africa, of various African masks and figures carved in wood, with the message "Angola-África2013"

According to Publimetro, the young singer had not planned to make a pop production with Latino rhythms, which is currently in vogue around the world, but it was a coincidence which she enjoyed, because she feels likes the 12 songs allow her to connect with the public.

"I've never thought about doing it to be fashionable with the Latino boom around the world. I always wanted to interpret that sound that, for example in Greece and Poland, is so successful, because Latino music has its charm. It's impressive how things happen with music around the world", Perroni said.
