Grand Theft Auto 5 requires players to execute various missions and tasks to gain the coveted 100 percent completion achievement, a process complicated by the fact that certain missions count towards the total while others don't. To complete all the required Strangers and Freaks missions, here is a quick guide for finding all the right missions.

Of the 60 total Strangers and Freaks missions in Grand Theft Auto 5, there are 20 specific missions that players must complete to finish this portion of the game's 100 percent checklist: Pulling Favors, Pulling Another Favor, Pulling Favors Again, Still Pulling Favors, Pulling One Last Favor, Shift Work, Paparazzo, Paparazzo The Sex Tape, Papparazzo The Partnership, Papparazzo Reality Check, A Starlet in Vinewood, Grass Roots Franklin, Grass Roots The Smoke In, Exercising Demons Franklin, Far Out, The Final Frontier, Risk Assessment, Liquidity Risk, Targeted Risk and Uncalculated Risk.

The Strangers and Freaks missions usually pair Franklin with somebody the player will encounter multiple times, so it's often best to just do all Strangers and Freaks missions available as soon as they appear. For example, Franklin will receive all the Paparazzo missions from Beverly. These missions typically require the players to sneak about and gather dirt on celebrities, although two Paparazzo missions (The Meltdown and The Highness) are not required for 100 percent completion.

Another set of missions, the Pulling Favors missions, again involve Franklin and his friend Tonya. These require the player to tow a car to the impound lot, and score a gold medal in the missions, which means getting the car there unharmed and in a certain amount of time. The Risk missions all involve Dom the Dominator and sky diving/BASE jumping. Far Out is the mission where players begin collecting spaceship parts, and The Final Frontier is the payoff for finding all those collectibles.

Franklin once again is needed to perform his Grass Roots missions for the game; his are the only ones that count towards the 100 percent checklist. The same rule applies to the Exercising Demons missions available to all three characters.

After these missions, most of the remaining quests are one-off adventures. Shift Work is a racing mission, and A Starlet in Vinewood is available after collecting all the Letter Scraps collectibles.

Overall, if players complete every green question mark they find on the map, they will go a long way towards completing the 100 percent requirements for Grand Theft Auto 5.
