It’s time to pump the brakes. Season 6 of “Sons of Anarchy” has rushed by in a blur of guns, violence and betrayal. It’s been the most riveting season yet. Its heart pumping action is enough to induce a heart attack. Not once has the show moved at such a fast pace, so it’s time we take a break. The smell of burning rubber on the hot Charming asphalt has become overbearing. Things need to cool down.

But it’s “Sons of Anarchy.” Of course it’s not going to cool down. On last Tuesday’s episode, no one died, there were no explosions or treacherous close calls, giving fans a much needed week to catch their breath, but that might all be coming to an end. In tomorrow’s episode,”Sweet and Vaded,” Jax will make progress in steering the club clear of running guns and avoiding a violent retaliation against the Irish, but while things may be calm on the surface, underlying currents continue to pull at each other, raising inner club tensions to an all time high.

When Gemma gets wind of Tara’s secret plans, she comes at her with a vengeance. In a sneak peek video, Tara says she wants a restraining order, prompting Gemma to slap her across the face. But Tara’s a big girl now. She’s no longer a naive Jax love interest. She’s the real deal. So, she hits Gemma back, and it’s all downhill from there.

Meanwhile, authorities press Nero, who remains stubborn and insists that he’s done nothing illegal and denies any ties to murder. They then offer him a “Get Out of Jail Free” card for intel on Jax and SAMCRO, an offer that may be too good to pass up.

“Sweet and Vaded” airs Tuesday, October 21, on FX.
