The excitement keeps growing for the Oct. 19 Powerball jackpot that now stands at a whopping $186 million. The drawing will take place Saturday at 11 p.m. EST.

The odds of winning the jackpot, which equates to a $106.3 million cash value, are approximately 1 in 175.2 million. However, players will have better odds of winning a smaller prize, which is only a 1 in 32 chance.

One Twin Falls, Id., man, Jeremy Spells struck gold in the Powerball drawings from Oct. 9, when his Powerball ticket matched five numbers, missing the sixth and final Powerball number. Still, Spells was able to cash in for a cool $1 million on Wednesday in Boise.

"I work in both Twin Falls and Boise, so occasionally if I have a couple of extra bucks, I'll pick up a Powerball ticket," Spells told Idaho news station KTVB.com.  "I checked the ticket at a retailer and they told me to bring it to Boise.  I still didn't believe it, so I called the winning numbers hotline about 50 times just to make sure."

Noting that he and his wife were "still in disbelief," Spells says the couple plans to use their winnings to pay off their house and car while investing the rest of their jackpot.

And lottery players looking to cash in like Spells did have their opportunity to do the same on Saturday.

It just costs $2 to get in the game, while an additional $1 will allow you to add the Power Play multiplier per play. The $2 tickets allow players to pick five numbers from 1 to 59, and a Powerball number from 1 to 35.

The Powerball game is played in 43 states in addition to the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Depending on the state you're in, the draw entry will close either one or two hours before the actual drawing, according to the Powerball website. The Powerball winning numbers are drawn live every Wednesday and Saturday night.

No one won the Powerball jackpot prize on Oct. 16, according to the Powerball website. The lucky numbers were: 03, 26, 28, 34, 42 and the Powerball number was 28.
